Memphis Women’s Golf Ready for Trinity Forest Invitational

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's golf team will head to Dallas, Texas to compete in the Trinity Forest Invitational at the Trinity Forest Country Club this week. The two-day tournament gets started on Monday, March 7 and runs through Tuesday, March 8. Live scoring for the event can be found at GoTigersGo.com.
"We are very much looking forward to playing SMU's tournament at Trinity Forest," head coach Beth Harrelson remarked. "It is a very challenging golf course with a stellar field. The girls have worked hard these past two weeks and we are expecting to see it pay off this next week at Trinity Forest."
The 56-hole tournament will be played on the par 72, 6,460-yard course with a shotgun started at 8:00 a.m. CT on both days. Teams will play 36 holes on Monday and the third and final round on Tuesday.
The 16-team field for the Trinity Forest Invitational includes Memphis, Dallas Baptist, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Northern Illinois, two teams from host SMU, South Florida, Texas State, No. 24 Texas Tech, Tulane, Tulsa, UAB, No. 36 UNLV, UTEP and UTSA.
Last time out, sophomore Rebecca Brink paced the Tigers at the Tulane Classic on Feb. 14-15, tying for 14th place with a score of 229 (+13). The top-20 finish was Brink's third straight. She earned T-8's at both the Lady Red Wolves Classic and The Club at Olde-Stone Intercollegiate.
