Mar 14, 2022 | Women's Basketball
MEMPHIS, Tenn.- For the fifth consecutive year, Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator Abby Jump has been named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's Thirty Under 30 List.
Â
"Abby is one of the hardest working and talented coaches in our business," said head coach Katrina Merriweather. "She is driven by her passion for our young women's experience and her love for the game. We are fortunate to have her."
Â
Jump, who came to Memphis from Wright State, helped lead the Tigers to their first winning season since the 2015-16 season and notch notable wins over Liberty, Houston and SMU.
Â
The WBCA's Thirty Under 30 program was established to honor 30 of the up-and-coming women's basketball coaches age 30 and under. Each nominee has exemplified their involvement in community service, mentorship and an impact on those around them, professional manners and attitude as well as a professional association involvement.
Â
Jump, who was first named to the list in 2018 while working as an assistant coach at Moorhead State, has been the only coach to be named to the list for the past five seasons.Â
