Figgins, Gleason and Wyatt Earn All-Conference Honors at AAC Championships

TULSA, Okla. – University of Memphis harriers wrapped up the American Athletic Conference Championship Friday with three all-conference athletes and strong team finishes.
Chloe Figgins finished with the highest placement for the Tigers, taking home ninth place in the women's 6k (21:09.6). Her championship performance marks her third top-10 finish of the season.
Brooke Mussche and Jazlyn Villarreal rounded out the top-three Tigers to cross the finish line, helping the women to a sixth-place team finish.
The men's team finished fourth, led by all-conference honorees Payton Gleason and Zachary Wyatt. Gleason's 10th-place performance led him to become a three-straight year all-conference honoree. Wyatt followed close behind in 11th, also bringing home his third-straight year of conference honors.
"Both teams had good performances at the championship, along with Chloe Figgins, Payton Gleason and Zach Wyatt in earning all-conference honors," said cross country coach Ken Frenette. "We're looking forward to carrying it to the NCAA Regional Championship."
Tulsa took home both the men's and women's team titles.
Up next, the qualifying Tigers will compete in NCAA Regional Championship in two weeks.
