Tigers Ready for Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The No. 70-ranked University of Memphis men's golf team will compete in the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational starting on Sunday, Oct. 16 in Vero Beach, Fla. Live results for the two-day tournament can be found at GoTigersGo.com.
"Quail Valley is an event we are well acquainted with and really enjoy," head coach Blake Smart said. "The field is excellent again and we are looking forward to being back on Bermuda grass."
The 54-hole tournament will be played at the par-72, 7,350-yard Quail Valley Golf & River Club. Teams will play two rounds on Sunday before the third and final round on Monday. The tournament gets underway on Monday with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m., while Tuesday's round will begin with tee times at 7 a.m. off the first and 10th holes.
The 16-team field includes No. 70 Memphis, No. 32 Cincinnati, No. 49 Indiana, No. 58 Liberty, Maryland, No. 56 Michigan State, No. 45 Missouri, No. 42 North Florida, Northern Illinois, No. 48 Northwestern, No. 29 Notre Dame, Penn State, No. 91 Rutgers, No. 83 South Florida, No. 87 Toledo and No. 59 Wisconsin.
Last time out, Esteban Vazquez led the way for the Tigers at the Purdue Fall Invitational, tying for ninth place with a score of 218 (+2). As a team, Memphis placed seventh with a score of 888 (+24).
