MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis head men's golf coach Blake Smart announced the signing of Cian O'Connor on Tuesday. O'Connor will be eligible to compete for the Tigers starting in the 2022-23 season.
"I am very pleased to have Cian joining us next fall," Smart remarked. "Along with his resume, I was attracted to Cian because of his acumen for the game and all it entails. Cian is well thought of by coaches and comes from a strong family golf background. I see Cian have a strong freshman impact alongside Jackson McCommon."

Along with the Interprovincial medal in 2021, he also earned three other All-Ireland medals. He earned a Fred Daly All-Ireland medal in 2019 with Roscommon Golf Club and two Senior Schools medals for C.B.S. Roscommon in 2018 and 2020. O'Connor played a key role for his teams in these events, helping his squads win the titles for the first time.
