MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis head men's golf coach Blake Smart announced the team's 2021-22 schedule on Thursday. The slate features 10 tournaments, including the 2022 American Athletic Conference Championship.
"I am hopeful and excited to have a full season of college golf after two interrupted years," Smart said. "This schedule will test our squad and provide an opportunity to measure ourselves against the best programs in the country."
The Tigers open the season at the Hoosier Collegiate Invitational on Sept. 5-6 at the Pfau Course in Bloomington, Ind. This past April, Memphis played at the Pfau Course as part of the Hoosier Invitational, placing fourth in a highly competitive field.
After playing in the Battle at Briar's Creek at the Golf Club at Briar's Creek in Johns Island, S.C., the Tigers will head to Vero Beach, Fla. to compete in the Quail Valley/Jake Owen Collegiate from Oct. 17-18. Memphis will then wrap up the fall season at the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational at the Steelwood Country Club in Loxley, Ala.
The Tigers open the spring season at the Coral Creek Club Invitational in Placida, Fla. on Feb. 28-March 1, 2022 before heading to Bluffton, S.C. to play in the Colleton River Collegiate on March 7-8, 2022 at the Colleton River Club, a Jack Nicklaus Course.
