Memphis Faces Road Heavy 2021 Schedule

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Tigers men's soccer team released its 2021 schedule, which features three preseason home matches and five conference matches in Memphis. The Tigers hit the road for nine regular season matches this season.
After the condensed 2021 Spring season, the weeklong preseason sprint features three matches at home before the Tigers take to the road. Memphis opens the regular season at the 15th Wolstein Classic, Aug. 27 vs. host Ohio State. After two games in Columbus, the Tigers will spend the first half of September on the road with three non-conference matches.
"First off, we're happy to be playing a full schedule this fall after missing last fall due to Covid," said head coach Richard Mulrooney. "We believe with our 10 conference matches mixed in with our non-conference opponents that it's a good balance of everything you look for to hopefully prepare you for a conference championship and beyond."
American Athletic Conference play begins Sep. 18 at home against UCF, with the Tigers scheduled to play nine league contests. The AAC Tournament remains to be determined, and all dates, opponents, and locations are subject to change.
