Gleason Earns NCAA All Region Honors

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Junior cross country athlete Payton Gleason brought home All Region honors following the NCAA South Regional Friday morning.
Gleason placed 24th in field of more than 175 runners. He finished with a time of 30:33.96, marking a new personal best for the cross country 10k.
Zachary and Tate Wyatt rounded out the top three for the Tigers, also posting new PRs at 31:17.69 (51st) and 32:16.37 (91st), respectively.
For the women, Chloe Figgins was the first to cross the finish line, placing 79th in the 6k (21:52.71). Solstice Saliba followed behind (22:03.48), bettering the last PR she set at the American Athletic Conference Championship. Hannah Anderson (22:46.92), Lydia Kurfman (23:10.09) and Sonsoles Martin Rodriguez (23:20.85) also posted new personal bests during the regional race.
In team performances, the men placed 16th out of 25 teams, and the women 21st out of 32. Nationally-ranked Ole Miss took home the titles for both men's and women's team finishes.
