Tigers to face Tulsa on Saturday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis women's basketball team will take on Tulsa in the Reynolds Center on Saturday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. CT. The matchup will be available to stream on ESPN+. The Tigers lead the overall series, 11-10, and defeated the Golden Hurricane, 63-44, last year in Memphis on Feb. 2.

Memphis heads into the Saturday matchup coming off a 80-44 loss at Tulane. Against the Green Wave, sophomore Lanetta Williams came off the bench as the leading scorer with 14 points. She was the only double-digit scorer against Tulane.
Sophomore Aerial Wilson totaled six assists against Tulane. She leads the American Athletic Conference and is ranked fifth nationally with a total of 53 assists. Her 6.6 assists per game average ranks her second in the AAC and seventh in the nation in the category.

Junior Maya Mayberry tallied 11 points, Rebecca Lescay recorded five assists, and Desiree Lewis and Kayla Moutry both had four steals.
