Tigers sweep Bellarmine in season opener

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Tigers men's tennis squad got off to a solid start to the 2021 season Sunday afternoon, defeating Bellarmine in Memphis, Tenn., 7-0.
The Tigers won all six singles points, with no sets coming closer than 6-4. The doubles point also went to Memphis, with all three courts breaking to the Tigers.
Pau Fanlo made his Memphis debut with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Sam Rueff on Court 6.
Up next for Memphis is a showdown at Alabama on Friday, Feb. 5. That starts a stretch of five-straight matches for the Tigers against SEC or ACC foes.
