MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis women's basketball team will take on No. 16/17 USF in the Yuengling Center on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 3 p.m. CT. The matchup will be available on ESPNU. The Tigers lead the overall series 15-12 but fell to the Bulls 65-58 earlier this season at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse.

Memphis heads into the Sunday matchup coming off a 72-68 loss at Tulsa on Jan. 9. Against the Golden Hurricane, Jatyjia 'Tye' Jones recorded a season-high 19 points and Madison Griggs totaled four three-pointers.

The Tigers are led in scoring by senior forward Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu with 15.2 points per game. She also leads the team in rebounding as she averages 11 rebounds per game. Sophomore guard Aerial Wilson averages 6.9 assists per game making her the team leader and second in the AAC in the category. The Tigers average 63.1 points per game on 39.2 percent shooting from the field.

A Look at No. 16/17 USF
USF recently defeated Tulane 72-53 in New Orleans to mark its 16th consecutive victory over the Green Wave. The Bulls have won nine straight games, which equals the longest winning streak in program history, and are off to their best conference start in program history.

The Bulls are led in scoring by Elena Tsineke with 12 points per game. Bethy Mununga leads the team with 11.5 rebounds per contest. Elisa Pinzan paces USF with 79 assists this season. The Bulls average 71.6 points per game on 39.6 percent shooting from the field.
