GCAA recognizes men's golf academic achievement

Presidents Special Recognition Honors given for team GPA of 3.5 or better
NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Memphis men's golf team was honored for its academic achievement by the Golf Coaches Association of America, earning Presidents Special Recognition Honors by finishing with a team GPA of 3.5 or above.

The awards were announced this week.

Kentucky (Division I), Maryville (Division II), Swarthmore (Division III), Wayland Baptist (NAIA), Dodge City (NJCAA Division I), South Mountain (NJCAA Division II) were all named Academic National Champions for finishing with the top GPA in their respective divisions, announced by the GCAA.
Kentucky finished with the top overall GPA in all divisions, finishing the 2019-20 season with a 3.89 team GPA.
A total of 250 schools submitted GPAs of 3.0 or above, with 95 – including the UofM -- gaining Presidents Special Recognition Honors for GPAs of 3.5 or better.
The announcement was the second this week recognizing academic achievement by the UofM. Borja Martin, Nick Giles, Guillaume Chevalier, William Harwood and Rodi Vlasveld were named All-America Scholars by the GCAA.
