MEMPHIS, Tenn.  – Alec Stopperich, a team captain the past four seasons at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., will finish his collegiate golf career at the University of Memphis.

The UofM announced Monday that Stopperich will join the Tigers' program as a graduate transfer.
"Alec is a very nice pickup for us," said Memphis coach Blake Smart. "He has had a career where he has shown great improvement over his four years at Samford and brings a wealth of tournament experience to our lineup.
"I am most excited about his continued commitment toward further improvement and I look for him to be immediately competitive and traveling."
