Football Senior Salute: Patrick Taylor Jr.
6/1/2020
A native of Humble, Texas, running back Patrick Taylor Jr. spent four years in the Bluff City and made his mark in the Memphis football program. Taylor Jr. can find his name etched in the top five of multiple record book categories, but it wasn't just the success on the field that defines his name. In addition to his athletic accolades, Taylor Jr. was named a 2019 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Good Works nominee. He also was a three-time American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team member and was named the 2020 Zach Curlin Award winner at the University of Memphis.
Although he missed a bulk of the season after suffering an injury in the season opener, Taylor Jr. had the opportunity to take the field donning the Blue and Gray one last time in the 84th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic on December 28, 2019. Taylor Jr. graduated in December of 2019 with a degree in management and will now take the next steps in his football career as he signed with the Green Bay Packers.
