Isaiah Jackson posts his seventh consecutive Top 20 finish of the season
AIKEN, S.C. – Senior Isaiah Jackson posted his second consecutive 2-under 68 Tuesday to help the University of Memphis men's golf team to a fourth-place finish in The Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate in Aiken, S.C.

Jackson finished seventh overall at 1-under 209 and had his seventh Top 20 result in seven events dating back to last fall. Jackson is the nation's 50th-ranked college golfer.

While Memphis had its second straight fourth-place finish of the spring – the Tigers shot 16-over 856 -- Clemson ran away with the title by posting a 27-under 813, 16 strokes better than second-place Virgina. Furman was third at 12-over 852. The Tigers finished fourth at last week's Colleton River Collegiate in Bluffton, S.C.

Jackson had only one bogey during his round Tuesday at Palmetto. It came at the par-3 9th hole.

For the Tigers, Nick Giles and Borja Martin fired 1-over 71s Tuesday. Giles posted a Top 10 finish with a 2-over 212, while Martin shot 10-over 220 for the event. Guillaume Chevalier also finished at 220. Phuripon Namkang, who opened with a pair of 73s, closed with a 78 Tuesday for a three-round total of 224.

The Tigers won't have much time before their next event. They play Friday through Sunday at the Schenkel Invitational in Stateboro, Ga. The 54-hole event will be played at Forest Heights Country Club. Georgia Southern is the defending champ in the 14-team competition.
