Women’s Golf Finishes Ninth at FSU

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – The University of Memphis women's golf team posted its best team round of the Florida State Matchup Sunday and finished in ninth place. Memphis carded a 303 to finish with a 935, two strokes behind sixth place Missouri and Kansas State and one stroke behind Coastal Carolina.

TEAM EVENT
Number 13-ranked LSU claimed team tournament honors with an 886 (289-303-294). The Tigers had four finishers in the top eight to finish 14 strokes ahead of host Florida State, who finished second. Number 40 ranked Clemson and number 12 ranked Alabama tied for third at 914.
MEDALIST HONORS
LSU's Ingrid Lindblad, the number two ranked women's golfer in the country, carded the low round of the tournament with a 69 (-3) on Sunday. That secured an eight-stroke win for her over number 84 ranked Beatrice Wallin of Florida State.
NEXT UP
The team will be off for one weekend before stepping back on the course in competitive rounds at the Valspar Augusta Invitational, Mar. 14-15

- Victoria Gallegos birdied her final hole of the event to finish in a tie for 22nd overall. She birdied two of her final three holes for a third round 78 (+6).
- Gallegos tied for sixth in the field among Par 5 scores with a 4.75. Teammate Ana Dawson was tied for 10thwith a 4.83.
