Full Spring Schedule
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Transitioning to its spring season, Memphis women's soccer and head coach Brooks Monaghan announced its six-match exhibition schedule Thursday.
Â
The 2020 spring slate is highlighted by four home contests at Park Avenue Campus.Â
Â
"Spring is a different approach than we have in the fall," Monaghan said. "The most important thing in the spring is giving student-athletes opportunities who may not have played much to get sharp and get minutes under their belt, and in return we look forward to them stepping up like others have in the past year and prove themselves."
Â
The Tigers will open the spring season with an international competition against the Toronto Blizzard on Mar. 18 at 6:30 a.m.
Â
After a road trip to Vanderbilt on Mar. 22, Memphis will return home for a trio of matches. The Tigers will begin their three-game home stretch with an Apr. 1 date against Ole Miss at 7:30 p.m.
Â
Little Rock will visit the Bluff City on Apr. 4 at 2 p.m., before Memphis then hosts UT Martin on Apr. 8 at 7 p.m.
Â
Capping the spring schedule, the Tigers will travel to Ole Miss on Apr. 15 for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
"I'm excited about the schedule, in particular, the home-and-away against Ole Miss," Monaghan added of the home-and-home series against the Rebels. "We have a lot of respect for them and it tends to always be a great match, whether we're playing in the fall or spring."
