Women's Golf In Action at Florida State Matchup This Weekend

Women's golf is back in action this weekend at the Florida State Matchup Saturday and Sunday. Played at the Bay Point Golf Club, the event will feature two rounds of play on Saturday with an 8 am (ET) shotgun start and will finish with tee times off holes 1 and 10 at 8 am on Sunday.

Memphis' Entry
Memphis is taking five golfers to the weekend event: Victoria Gallegos, Victoria England, Ana Dawson, Julia Matzat and Brooke Veres.

The Course
Bay Point Golf Club is the only Jack Nicklaus-designed course in Northwest Florida. Situated in a 1,100-acre nature preserve, the course plays at 6,290 yards and is a par 72 course.

The Field
Memphis is one of 10 teams in this weekend's event. The full field includes: Alabama, Clemson, Coastal Carolina, Florida State, Kansas State, LSU, Memphis, Missouri, Toledo and AAC foe USF.

Tiger Notes

Gallegos is coming into the event after her best career finish at the Old Friends Invitational, where she finished T2nd.
Victoria England is coming in off her first career top 20 finish. She finished T20th with a 235 at the Old Friends Invitational
Ana Dawson finished 31^st at the Old Friends Invitational. Her first round 79 was her low round of the first weekend back in spring competition.
Junior Julia Matzat posted her lowest collegiate round in the first round of Memphis' last event, carding a 74. She looks for another strong start this weekend to try to improve on her T22nd finish from last weekend, her career-high finish.
Veres competed as an individual at Memphis' last event and is on the team entry this weekend. She finished T-25^th with a 239 .
