MEMPHIS, Tenn. – In the fifth week of the American Athletic Conference's Player of the Week list, Memphis women's soccer's Clarissa Larisey and Mya Jones were named to the Honor Roll.
Larisey posted her league-leading ninth goal of the season to help Memphis in its 3-0 win against Iowa State. The Ottawa, Ontario native tallied four shots throughout the contest, with all coming on goal.
Monday's nod is Larisey's second Honor Roll appearance this season and third weekly award of the season.
Jones also scored a goal in Friday's win against the Cyclones, her second of the season. The freshman recorded four shots in 81 minutes of action. Jones, who has started all nine matches for the Tigers this season, has scored at least one point in each of the last three contests.
Jones' accolade is her third of the season after earning the league's Rookie of the Week honor on Aug. 26 and Sept. 16.
The Tigers shift their focus to league play this week. Memphis (8-1) travels to Florida to face UCF on Thursday at 5 p.m. before closing the weekend at USF on Sunday at noon.
