Spirit Squads Attend UCA/UDA Camp

Cheer comes home with four first place awards
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. --Â The University of Memphis spirit squads attended the UCA/UDA camp last week on the campus of East Tennessee State University. The Tigers came home with several first-place awards and Pouncer made his first-ever visit to the UCA/UDA camp.Â
Cheer, in the small coed division placements, earned first place in the fight song, sideline, time out and overall small coed categories. Other teams competing in the cheer division included Troy, Wake Forest and Lee University.Â
Pom also earned several awards at the camp, including the Most Collegiate Award, the Leadership Award, voted on by teams at camp. Some additional teams that attended camp included Middle Tennessee, Tennessee, Cincinnati, East Tennessee State, Georgia State and Kentucky.Â

In Pouncer's first visit to camp, he came home with three Superior Ribbons for Evaluations as well as the award for College Spirit Squad tradition.Â
