Men's golf opens spring in South Carolina

Tigers finished fourth at the Wexford Intercollegiate last season
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's golf team travels to Hilton Head, S.C. to start the spring schedule at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate Feb. 25 and 26 at Wexford Golf Club.
Bradley Bawden, Rodi Vlasveld, Chase Harris, Isaiah Jackson and Borja Martin will compete for the Tigers.
"We are excited to begin our spring campaign with a run of events in South Carolina," said Memphis coach Blake Smart. "This was the most competitive qualifying we have had in my time at UofM, with most spots coming down to a single shot.
"This event is very important as it starts a quick run of tournaments and having good momentum build each week is crucial. This event was great last year and the boys are looking forward to being on the East Coast."
Memphis finished fourth in the event last year and was led by Martin, who shot 2-under 214.
