Tiger duo of Isaiah Jackson and Ultra Namkang post top 10 finishes
SHREVEPORT, La. – Led by Isaiah Jackson's 5-under 67, three University of Memphis golfers shot sub-70 rounds on the final day of the David Toms Intercollegiate at Southern Trace Country Club to carry the Tigers to a second-place finish.

Memphis shot 9-under 279 Sunday to close the 54-hole event at 26-under 838, or 37 strokes behind runaway champion LSU. Two LSU players – Trey Winstead and Hayden White – shared medalist honors at 17-under 199, two strokes better than teammate and third-place finisher Garrett Barber.

Jackson shot 70-69-67 for a total of 10-under 206 and finished in a tie for seventh. Teammates Ultra Namkang and Rodi Vlasveld fired 3-under 69s Sunday with Namkang, making his Tigers' debut, closing at 8-under 208. Vlasveld finished the event at even-par 216. Nick Giles shot 74 for 217 and Guillaume Chevalier shot 76 for 216.

With their second-place showing, the Tigers have opened the fall season with back-to-back top five finishes. The UofM was fifth at last week's Graeme McDowell Invitational in Birmingham.

The Tigers resume their fall season Oct. 20 and 21 in the Quail Valley Collegiate at the Quail Valley Golf Club in Vero Beach, Fla.
