International standout set to join Tigers in fall 2019
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis men's tennis announced the addition of international standout James Story after he signed with the Tigers late last month. Story is set to join the program in fall 2019.
Ranked in the Top 100 internationally, Story has won over 10 combined world juniors singles and doubles championships and also collected a doubles pro event championship last year.
Most recently, the Cardiff, Wales native earned a qualifying spot in the Juniors Main Draw at the 2019 Australian Open.
His 2018 doubles titles include wins in Saint Cyprien, France; Sanxenxo, Spain and Budapest, Hungary. Story also won both the singles and doubles championship at the 2017 TATS Open International Tennis Tournament in Tampere, Finland.
Story chose Memphis over Auburn, Georgia, NC State and TCU, among others.
