Dalton Freeman Signs With Memphis Baseball

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Dalton Freeman, an infielder from Magnolia Heights High School in Mississippi, has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the University of Memphis baseball program for the 2020 season, head coach Daron Schoenrock announced.
"Dalton's development and ability to defend and hit a high level has our coaching staff excited to add him to our 2019-20 roster. We feel that he will be a tremendous left side infield defender and can't wait to get him in our locker room," Schoenrock said.
An all-state shortstop for Magnolia Heights, Freeman has helped lead the school to MIAS Class AAAA Division II State Championships in 2015, 2016 and 2018. Last season finished with six doubles, four triples and 28 RBI. He was selected to play for Team Mississippi in the Sunbelt Classic. Freeman is also an all-conference player for the Magnolia Heights soccer team, winning best offensive player award. He is a member of the National Honor Society and participates in a St. Jude softball tournament fundraiser every year.
Freeman is the son of Kevin and April Freeman.
