Campbell's Top-Five Finish Helps Tigers to Fourth Place Finish

CORDOVA, Tenn. - JC Campbell placed in a tie for fifth place at the 2016 Memphis Intercollegiate - his highest career finish - as the Tigers took fourth place in the field.
Little Rock carded a final-round 288 to climb into the top spot in the team standings with a three-day 895, while Lipscomb (897) and Central Arkansas (898) placed second and third.
Campbell carded rounds of 76, 73, and 73, and his 222 tied for fifth place overall. Freshman Nick Giles carded a final-round 73, putting him at nine strokes over par, which is tied for 13th overall. Senior Sydney Chung was the team's third and final finisher inside of the top-20, as his one-over 73 put him at 11 strokes over par, and tied for 20th overall.
Kevin Lee finished a stroke behind Chung with a final-round 79 that put him at 12 strokes over par for the three rounds, and was the team's fourth and final scorer. Camden Backel carded a final-round 82 to place in a tie of 71 as the team's fifth player.
Playing as individuals, Chase Harris shot a third-round 74 (total score of 228) to tie for 23rd, while Eithel McGowen shot a 77, which has him in a tie for 39th with a three-round 231. Colin Dubnik carded a 78 in the final round, which put him 16 shots over par, tied for 43rd overall.Â
Taylor McCullum (77-78-84-239) placed in a tie of 62nd, Mikko Kauniskangas (84-82-78-244) tied for 69th, and Peyton Dix (91-76-84-251) 74th overall in the field.
Memphis returns to action on October 10 and 11 to compete in the Mountaineer Collegiate hosted by West Virginia.
