Tigers Track And Field Senior Salute: Tyrell Forde

Forde competed in the outdoor 110-meter, indoor 60-meter hurdles in his career.
Over these two weeks (started May 6), University of Memphis Tigers men's and women's track and field will celebrate the program's 13 seniors with a salute to each.

"Tyrell is going to be missed. He is a phenomenal person with a great work ethic and a great attitude. He competed at a very high level for us throughout his career. Tyrell is one of those you never want to see leave. He's brought a lot to the program in terms of his athleticism and character. It's going to be tough to replace Tyrell."

- Competed in the 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2014-15 indoor and outdoor seasons
- Ran primarily in the 110-meter hurdles in the outdoor seasons and the 55- and 60-meter hurdles in the indoor campaigns
- Represented the Tigers in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2012 NCAA East Preliminaries
- Scored in five conference championships meets (three Conference USA/two American Athletic Conference)
- Best outdoor championships performance was a fourth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2015 American Athletic Conference meet (14.29)
- His 14.29 time in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2015 conference meet was a personal-best
- Top indoor championships meet finish was fourth in the 60-meter hurdles at the 2013 Conference USA Championships (8.11)
- His personal-best 60-meter hurdles time was 8.10 at the 2015 Missouri Tiger Invitational
- Had five career top-three finishes in the outdoor 110-meter hurdles, including two first-place performances at the 2012 and 2015 Memphis Invitationals
- Recorded four career top-three performances in the indoor 60-meter hurdles, including three first-place finishes
- Two-time American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team selection in 2014 and 2015
- Earned a Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal in 2013
- Named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2012 and 2013
- A Dean's List student and Tiger 3.0 Club member at Memphis
- A Civil Engineering major
