Lisa Pechersky Signs with Memphis

The University of Memphis women's soccer team received a national letter of intent from midfielder/forward Lisa Pechersky from Toronto, Ontario, Memphis head coach Brooks Monaghan announced Friday. With the addition of Perchesky, the 2016 Memphis signing class is now at nine members.

Lisa Pechersky – Midfielder/Forward – Toronto, Ontario
Lisa Pechersky, a Toronto, Ontario native, is set to suit up for the Tigers in 2016. She has played club soccer for both North Mississauga and Woodbridge Soccer Club and was a member of the Ontario U14-16 Provincial Team. She won the gold medal at the Canadian National Championships with Team Ontario. Pechersky is the daughter of Slava Pechersky and Tatiana Prismakov.

Pechersky chose the University of Memphis because she wanted to play for a great, competitive soccer program with a style of play that suits her. The university also features a variety of different majors and programs. Pechersky's hobbies include playing tennis, listening to music and spending time with friends and family.

"Lisa is a very technical player. She is extremely skilled, is a good passer of the ball and can go at players. She can play multiple positions. She sees the field very well and is the type of player that with make others around her better. Not only will she be a good attacking player but she works extremely hard on the defensive end," said Monaghan."
Pechersky joins Serena Dolan (Kentville, Nova Scotia), Scarlett Hodges (Madison, Miss.), Jessica Lisi (Woodbridge, Ontario), Jamiera Lunsford (Cincinnati, Ohio), Stasia Mallin (Carmel, Ind.), Selena Mangoni (Aurora, Ontario), Mikayla Morton (Courtice, Ontario) and Maddy Uenking (Apex, N.C.) as a member of the 2016 signing class.
