Leading the way for the Tigers was Chung who finished one stroke over par on the day. He opened on the first hole, and had a birdie and two pars over his first three holes. A birdie, a par, and a bogey on the next three holes put him at a stroke under par, before he closed the front nine with two bogeys and a par, making the turn at one stroke over par. He kept that aggregate score of one stroke over par after nine consecutive pars to close out the round.Â
JC Campbell started his round on the par-four third hole with a bogey, before birdying the fourth hole of the day. He followed with 11 consecutive pars, before birdying the par-three 16th hole. Two more pars followed; however, he closed the round with two straight bogeys to give him a first-round 73, which is tied for 59th overall.Â

Starting on the par-five second hole, he recorded two bogeys over his first nine holes; however added a double-bogey to start his back nine, while two more bogeys gave him his final score of six strokes over par.
Senior Eithel McGowan started strong, and ws one stroke over par through 10 holes on the day; however, a triple bogey, bogey, and two double bogeys turned his one over par score into nine over par. He did close strong, however, as he birdied his final hole of the day, the par-five second hole to drop his aggregate score to eight strokes over par, and 11 over par on the tournament, tied for 77th.
