Morise Named Rookie of the Week

Freshman midfielder Mason Morise has been named as the American Athletic Conference's Rookie of the Week after he notched two assists to lead Memphis to a draw in the American Athletic Conference opener against UCF.

Morise had a hand in both of the Tigers' goals in the 2-2 draw with UCF Saturday night at Mike Rose Soccer Complex.

The Knights led 2-0 early in the second half before the Tigers rallied with goals in the 61^st minute and 65^th minute to tie things up and earn a point in the league opener.

A freshman from New Orleans, La., Morise, has now played a part in each of the Tigers' goals this season, scoring against Northern Kentucky earlier this year.
