Watson Advances to ITA Second Round

TULSA – Sophomore Andrew Watson advanced to the second round of the ITA All-American Qualifying Singles draw with a straight set, 6-4, 6-4, win over Minnesota's Felix Corwin, Monday. With the win, Watson advances to a 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, match against UCLA's Karue Sell.
Teammate Ryan Peniston also competed Monday, taking No. 9 seed Arjun Kadhe of Oklahoma State to three sets before falling 4-6, 6-2, 6-4. Peniston will play a consolation singles match Tuesday.
Freshman Felix Rauch also played on Monday morning, falling 6-1, 6-2 in the pre-qualifier to Leopold Gomez Islinger of Green Bay.
