Memphis Spirit Squads Compete in Orlando

The University of Memphis had spirit squads advance to three national finals competitions where all three teams posted Top-10 finishes at the Universal Dance Association and Universal Cheer Association championships Sunday in Orlando.
Memphis Pom finished fourth in the UDA Division IA Hip Hop championship and placed fifth in the UDA Division IA Pom competition. Scores in the Top-5 of both events were within a point of a closely-scored championship.
The Memphis Coed Cheer team posted a 10th place finish in the national championship.
