Leeker and Klipsch Ink with Tigers

MEMPHIS, Tenn.-University of Memphis men's soccer coach Richie Grant announced Tuesday that St. Louis-area standouts Jake Leeker and Jordan Klipsch have each signed a National Letter of Intent to join the program for the 2013 season.
"We're excited to once again have players from such a strong soccer city like St. Louis," said Grant. "We've tracked these two players for the last few years. Both did really well in development academies and were successful with their teams. Klipsch is a phenomenal talent and we expect him to fight for playing time this fall. Leeker has great potential to be the starting goalkeeper for us sometime soon."
Klipsch played volleyball and soccer for Oakville Senior High School. Last season on the pitch, Klipsch was All-Conference second team, tallying four goals and two assists as a wing back. Klipsch finished his career at Oakville with 15 goals and two assists. Klipsch has also played with Busch Soccer Club (2003-2008), St. Louis Soccer Club (2008-2009) and St. Louis Scott Gallagher (2009-present).
Leeker, also a St. Louis Scott Gallagher product, played goalkeeper for Rockwood Summit High School. Leeker was a member of the St. Louis Scott Gallagher team that was a finalist in the U16 Development Academy Championship. In 19 games last season with St. Louis Scott Gallagher, Leeker posted a goals-against-average of .64 with seven shutouts.
