2011 Memphis Baseball Winter Camp Flyer
The University of Memphis baseball program will host a pair of high school winter baseball camps in January 2011, head coach Daron Schoenrock announced. The U of M program will hold Hitting Camp on Jan. 22 and Pitcher/Catcher Camp on Jan. 23. Both camps will be held at FedExPark.
The Memphis baseball winter camps are available to high school players only and will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day. An excellent tool to prepare for the upcoming high school season, campers will be given instruction and evaluation from a coaching staff that includes U of M coaches, experienced college and high school coaches, and professional scouts in the Memphis area.
Coaches will emphasize fundamentals of the game, as well as sportsmanship and team play. At the conclusion of camp, participants will be given a personal skills evaluation. All pitchers and catchers will receive personal training based on individual need. Campers of all levels of ability are welcome to attend.
All Campers will need to bring their baseball glove, hat, pants, bat and batting gloves, jacket, sweatshirt and tennis shoes or turf shoes. Lunch will be provided. All Participants will receive a camp T-shirt.
Each prospect will receive personal instruction on how to improve as a player, as well as how to promote themselves to college programs and professional organizations.
The camp fee for the high school hitting and pitcher/catcher camps are $100 each. The fee to attend both camps is $175.
