Baseball to Host Annual Scout Day

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - After a positive Blue-Gray scrimmage on Saturday, the University of Memphis baseball team will showcase its talents in the annual Pro Scouts Day on Thursday, October 18. Beginning at 2 p.m. at Nat Buring Stadium, draft-eligible Tigers will be evaluated by area scouts according to their performances in a series of drills, followed by a shortened scrimmage. All area scouts as well as Memphis fans are invited.
Tiger position players will be evaluated in 60-yard sprints, as well as fielding and arm strength from respective positions. All draft-eligible position players will then take batting practice, followed by a five-inning scrimmage in which all draft-eligible pitchers will see approximately an inning of work.
