DeLAND, Fla.- - Freshman forward Daniel Ronan scored his team-leading fourth and fifth goals of the season and John Reilly added his third score, but Stetson was equal to the task, scoring two goals in the final 20 minutes. Each team held the other scoreless in overtime as the match ended in a 3-3 double-overtime tie.

Chris Fronk's 18th minute shot, past Tiger starting keeper Brian Baytos, inside the left post gave the Hatters the early 1-0 lead. With just under 10 minutes to play in the half, Memphis evened the score at one behind Ronan's unassisted first score, sending the teams into the half deadlocked at one.

It didn't take the Tigers long to capture the lead, 2-1, as Reilly recorded his score in the 47th minute of play when his shot from the left side found its way past Hatter goalie, Ian Landrum. Memphis extended their lead to 3-1 in the 62nd minute, when Ronan knocked home his second unassisted goal, beating two Stetson defenders and the Hatter goalie for the tally.

With the match seemingly out of reach, Joe Schoenbauer and Carl Keever each scored to bolster a strong comeback in the final 20 minutes of regulation to send the match into overtime at 3-3.

Memphis outshot Stetson 20-10 for the game, but both teams were held in check in the extra sessions, as the Tigers tallied a 2-1 shot advantage over the Hatters.

Memphis returns to action on Friday, Sept. 27, when they travel to Bowling Green, Ky., to take on the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky at 7 p.m.
