Lady Tigers Fall to 11th at NCAA

Corvallis, OR - The University of Memphis Lady Tiger golf team could not duplicate their first round team score of 305 and dropped to a tie for 11th after two rounds of the NCAA West Regional in Corvallis, Oregon. Memphis carded a team total of 312 in Friday's action and fell into a tie with Oregon State at 617.
Nationally ranked Arizona maintained their 15 stroke lead, 579, over their closest challenger, Stanford, 594, going into today's final round at Trysting Tree Golf Club. Arizona State is tied for third place at 602 with Michigan State. UCLA and Ohio State round out the top five with a score of 604.
Natalie Gulbis of Arizona is the individual leader after matching her four under par round of 68 from Thursday on the 6,089 yard course. Memphis's Meaghan Francella is ninth at 145. She is the only Lady Tiger in the top twenty.
The final round of the NCAA West Regional begins at 7 PM PDT. The top eight teams from each region advance to the NCAA Finals hosted by Stetson University in DeLand, Florida.
