Men's Cross Country Finishes Seventh

Carbondale, Ill.-- - Sophomore Balazs Laszlo posted his second consecutive top 10 finish with a fourth-place finish at the Saluki Invitational cross country meet, Saturday. Laszlo covered the 8K course in 25:00, and was the first runner competing with a university team to finish the race. Laszlo led the Tigers to a seventh-place finish.
Another sophomore, Ryan Smith, finished 20th (in 25:49) to help the Tigers in the 11-school meet.
The University of Missouri-Kansas City won the meet with 36 points, while Memphis finished with 172 points.
Tiger Finishers: 4th-Balazs Laszlo (25:00), 20th-Ryan Smith (25:47), 55th-Cameron Thomas (27:22), 76th-Jeff Doudrick (28:41), 78th-Andre Lucas (28:49), 85th-Robert Goode (29:50).
