Lynn Fox

Lynn Fox, a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, came to Memphis in 1968 and became a member of the most renowned 440 relay team in Tiger history. In 1973, Fox, Everett Taylor, Ed Hammonds and Maurice Knight captured the NCAA National Championship in the 400 relay with a time of 39.6 seconds. A sprinter, Fox won numerous Missouri Valley Conference sprint championships, including the 60-yard, 100-yard, 220-yard and 4 X 100 yard relay. He received his degree in mechanical engineering in 1974 and joined the staff of Systematics Financial Services, a Little Rock, Arkansas, based information service corporation. He spent 12 years working for the company in the Northeast, primarily in Manhattan and the New York metropolitan area.
