Kathy Vendetti came to Memphis State in 1980 from Hopedale High School in Hopedale, Massachusetts. She lettered for four years as a member of the Lady Tiger golf team. During her tenure Kathy set virtually every Lady Tiger golf scoring record. Vendetti held five of the top seven all-time low rounds in school history when her career ended in 1983. She held the single round record low score of 72 in the Furman Lady Paladin Invitational. She was also tied for the record low 36-hole score with a 150 posted at the LSU Invitational and was ranked second in the low 54-hole score with a 224 in the Alabama Women’s Intercollegiate. Vendetti held the Lady Tiger record for single season stroke average at 78.2 strokes per round.
