Jodi Fisher, a native of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada, arrived in Memphis in 1995 and became a member of the University's inaugural women's soccer team.

Playing forward, Fisher set records with the most assists in a match with four against Rhodes College, most goals scored in a career with 33, most points scored in a career with 94 and most shots on goal in a career with 178. She was named to the All-Conference USA Freshman Team in 1995 and the All-Conference Team in 1997. She was twice named the C-USA Player of the Week during her career.

After a four-year career in soccer, she received her B.S. degree in Exercise and Sport Science in 1999.

Fisher served as a graduate assistant in the Center for Athletic Academic Services for a one semester before becoming a graduate assistant for the women's soccer team in 2000. She continued to hone her coaching skills working with the Memphis Fury Soccer Club and with the Tennessee state team each summer, while working towards her Master's Degree at the U of M.

Fisher was named as a full-time assistant coach in 2001 and also assists with the Tiger Power Program which helps student-athletes with life skills.

She is married to former Memphis men's soccer coach Richie Grant. The couple has three children.
