Bill Cook

Bill Cook, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, prepped at White Station High School before signing with the Tigers in 1972. A four-year starter, Cook saw extended duty as a freshman and participated in the 1973 Final Four championship game against UCLA. He helped lead Memphis State to two NCAA Tournament bids and two NIT appearances during his tenure and finished his career as MSU’s sixth all-time leading scorer. Cook compiled 1,629 career points and had a career scoring average of 15.1 points per game. He was named to the Metro Conference All-Tournament team in 1976 and received All-America honors that same season. Cook is employed by the Shelby County Conversation Board.
