- Priority for credentials will be given to daily newspapers, TV stations and radio stations. Credentials will also be considered for online publications with 15,000 legitimate unique visitors per month. Credentials for podcasts will be determined on a case-by-case basis. First time applicants must submit traffic/subscriber data from an independent source in order to be considered. The Integrated Communications staff will do our best to accommodate requests, but may have to make adjustments as space requires.
- Integrated Communications seeks to support the program and sport being credentialed and therefore prefers to work with online media outlets with an established track record covering our school, our conference or the requested sport. In the request, please provide a short summary of previous relevant experience, if any.
- Obtaining media credentials is an opportunity to interview players and team officials for legitimate media purposes only. Media who are granted access to the press box and other areas inside the venue are expected to act professionally and adhere to all American Conference and NCAA-mandated media guidelines at all times.
- The standard of professionalism also extends to content posted on the requesting website, whether posted by the requester, user or other agent. Profanity, racial or sexual comments will not be tolerated from credentialed outlets.
- No contacting student-athletes via phone call, text message, or any social media/messaging platforms.
- No credentials will be issued to individuals under the age of 18.
- All interviews with student-athletes, coaches and staff of the University of Memphis Athletic Department must go through the Integrated Communications department.
- Memphis Athletics reserves the right of its personnel to deny or revoke credentials without notice and an individual shall surrender their credential upon request for violating the policies and/or safety procedures of security personnel, the University of Memphis, the American Conference or the NCAA.
