Quick Hitters
- After taking two of the three games against UConn this past weekend, Memphis (33-16, 8-7 AAC) set a new program record for home wins in a season. The Tigers picked up their 20th home win of the season after winning game two against UConn, surpassing two seasons of 19 wins at home, 2017 and 2007.
- The American Athletic Conference remains as competitive as ever. Memphis currently holds an 8-7 conference record, which still results in a three-way tie for third in The American with Houston and UCF.
- Kyler Trosclair Klatt became the all-time hits leader at Memphis after her third inning hit in Friday's game. She now has 238 career hits in Tiger career, breaking Lindsay Crowdus' year-old record of 237 hits.
- With five steals over the course of the weekend, Memphis surpassed 80 steals on the year. This is the third time in program history that a Tigers squad has stolen at least 80 bases in a season. The Tigers also stole 80+ bases in the previous two seasons.
- Molly Smith earned both of the Memphis wins against UConn, capturing her 20th and 21st wins of the season, becoming just the third pitcher in program history to eclipse the 20-win mark in a single season.
- Game one of the series was decided by Brooke Lee's fourth inning homerun. It was Lee's sixth home run of the year, which is tied for team-high.
- The first game on Saturday ended by way of Tyler Johnson's grand slam. It was the second grand slam of the season for the Tigers, and both have come in pinch-hit situations.
- This season, Memphis has gone 25-9 against non-AAC opponents.
- All-time, the Tigers are 5-5 against the Bears, and won last year's contest 8-2 at Tigers Softball Complex.
