Tigers Return Home For Midweek Doubleheader Against Alcorn State

Memphis has four more dates at home, all this week, starting on Tuesday
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis softball team returns home this week for a midweek doubleheader and a conference series this weekend. The Tigers will first play Alcorn State in a doubleheader Tuesday afternoon beginning at 5 p.m.

The Tigers have struggled as of late and will look to bounced back starting on Tuesday against the Lady Braves. Memphis is 15-1 all-time against Alcorn with its lone setback coming in 2012.

225 -Â Â Â With 225 hits, Lindsay Crowdus has become the all-time hits leader at Memphis, surpassing the previous high of 207 set by Leila Dolfo in 2009.
71 - Â Â Â Â Lindsay Crowdus has recorded 71 hits, which has surpassed the previous high of 63 set in 2006 and 2007 by Cara Stiles and Leila Dolfo.

- Alcorn State, a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, enters into the doubleheader with a 16-27 overall record and 13-5 mark in conference play.
- The Lady Braves have dropped three of the last four and most recently two out of the last three against Mississippi Valley State last weekend.
- Two everyday starters are hitting over .400 for the Lady Braves in Taylor Hughes and Jessica Crum. Hughes leads the team with a .414 average, 55 hits, 36 runs, and a .503 on base percentage.
- In the circle, Robin Harrison has pitched a team-high 88.2 innings for Alcorn and owns a team-low 4.57 ERA. She has also struck out a team-high 48 batters this season.
