Tigers Cruise To Victory Over East Carolina

Regan Hadley goes 4-for-4; Tigers total 12 hits in the win
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis softball team cruised to an 8-2 victory over East Carolina to open up American Athletic Conference. The Tigers combined for 12 hits including four from Regan Hadley and three from Lindsay Crowdus to improve to 16-12 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

East Carolina struck first in the top of the first, but Memphis quickly answered in the bottom half of the inning. The game remained close through three and a half before the Memphis bats came alive.

Seven hits in the final three innings for Memphis led to six runs including a pair of triples by Hadley and Crowdus. Molly Smith notched her sixth victory of the season as she pitched a complete game for Memphis.

- Bottom 3 – Lindsay Crowdus singled to leadoff the inning and scored on a double over the head of the centerfielder by Regan Hadley. (1 run, 2 hits, 0 errors, 1 left on base)
- Top 4 – The leadoff batter walked and advanced all the way around the diamond after a pair of groundouts and a bloop single to shallow right field. (1 run, 1 hit, 0 errors, 1 left on base)
