Softball Pushed Back To Wednesday At Belmont

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The contest originally scheduled Tuesday afternoon between the University of Memphis softball team and Belmont has been postponed until Wednesday afternoon as inclement weather is expected in the forecast in Nashville. The teams will play a single game at E.S. Rose Park at 4 p.m.

Memphis is riding a four-game winning streak after defeating Saint Louis and Eastern Kentucky twice this weekend. Overall, Memphis is 15-11.
Lindsay Crowdus was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll after leading the Tigers this weekend with a .529 batting average and nine hits. She also recorded a triple, giving her six this season.
Six triples for Crowdus ranks second in the NCAA. She has stayed in the top five all season.
As a team, Memphis ranks seventh in stolen bases per game and eighth in triples per game. The Tigers have 66 total stolen bases and 11 triples.
Memphis is led in stolen bases by Kyler Trosclair with 20, who currently ranks ninth in the NCAA in stolen bases per game.
Memphis defeated Belmont in the first meeting of the season at the Tigers Softball Complex by a score of 5-3.

Lexi Rouse is one of the offensive leaders for Belmont with a .368 batting average and a team-high 35 hits. Chelsey Deloney has hit 11 home runs for Belmont.
Compared to other pitchers on the team with significant playing time, Brooklin Lee leads the team with a 2.28 ERA and 67 strikeouts. She is a freshman from Burns, Tenn.
With a win over Mercer on March 17, Belmont won its 20^th game. That marked the first time in school history the Bruins had ever won 20 games in a season in the Division I era.
