The Tigers defeated Arkansas State in Ryan Silverfield's first career home game at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium
Head coach Ryan Silverfield won his first game at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium by a score of 37-24 against Arkansas State.
The Tigers improve to 26-3 in home games since Silverfield joined the staff in 2016.
Memphis improves to 30-24-5 all-time against Arkansas State.

Redshirt senior tight end Sean Dykes hauled in 137 yards on a career-high 10 catches with two touchdowns to pace the Memphis offense.
It was his second-career 100-yard receiving game and the first game of his career where he hauled in two touchdowns.
Defensively, the Tigers forced three turnovers and tallied three sacks.
Linebacker Cole Mashburn collected his first career fumble recovery. Defensive back Sylvonta Oliver recorded his first career interception, while linebacker Xavier Cullens picked off his second career pass.
In his first career start, Rodrigues Clark tallied a career-high 105 yards on a career-best 20 carries.
The freshman also added a rushing TD, the second of his career.
On special teams, Clark also blocked a punt on Arkansas State's second drive of the game. It was his second blocked punt of his career with his first coming against Southern on Sept. 7, 2019.
Quarterback Brady White finished with 275 passing yards and four touchdowns. He enters the Sept. 18 contest against Houston 370 yards (7,585) shy of matching former Tiger Riley Ferguson for third all-time. It was the fifth time in his career he has recorded at least four touchdowns.
Wide receivers Damonte Coxie and Calvin Austin III each hauled in a touchdown and combined for 101 receiving yards.
