Football Senior Salute: Austin Hall
7/27/2020
Austin Hall, a native of Collierville, ended his Memphis career at the 84th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic with a six-tackle, one-interception performance against the Nittany Lions. Throughout his time donning the Blue and Gray, Hall made an impact not only on the field, but in the classroom.
On April 15, 2020, it was announced that Hall was named to the NFF Hampshire Honor Society. The honor society is made up of football players from all division who maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or better throughout their college careers.
Hall concluded his playing career 10th on the tackles for loss charts, tallying 33.5 TFL. Additionally in the classroom, Hall earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice in August 2018 and began his work on a master's degree in public administration in fall of 2018. He was a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District selection and was named to the AAC All-Academic Team four times.
In 2019, Hall was an AAC Honorable Mention selection. Twice in his career he earned AAC Defensive Player of the Week nods and on Oct. 17, 2017, he was the Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week.

I got to go to college and enjoy playing college football. I'm blessed to get to do that. I grew up around here, so that makes it even more special. My favorite memory was the College GameDay experience. Our fan base loved it, and they brought that energy to the stadium. Another big game was when we beat Navy for the first time. I had a couple of picks in the game. After Memphis, I'll train and hopefully get to the NFL. Whenever that's done, I want to work in law enforcement, U.S. Marshals or FBI.Austin Hall in the Nov. 29 Memphis Game Day Program
