Football Senior Salute: Joey Bryant
7/21/2020
Joey Bryant spent one season with the Memphis football program after transferring from Arizona State where he competed for the Sun Devils for three seasons. At Memphis, he finished his career with nine solo tackles and a forced fumble at South Alabama.
In addition to competing for Arizona State's football program, Bryant was a member of the 2016-17 track and field team. In the 2017 Pac-12 Outdoor Championships, Bryant scored in the high, long and triple jumps. He qualified in the high jump for the NCAA West Preliminaries and just missed advancing to the NCAA Championships after a 13th-place finish.

Coming here helped me grow a lot as a player. I've been put in a position to help these young guys mature and I've embraced that. My best memory is the coaches calling me saying that I could come to Memphis. Also, the game versus SMU. The fans were incredible with ESPN GameDay. I want to pursue a chance at playing in the NFL, CFL, XFL, whatever. If not, I plan on working for my wife's father's company, which is a trust company called G2 National.Joey Bryant in the Nov. 29 Memphis Game Day Program
