Tigers go on the road for the first time since Dec. 11
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's basketball team hits the road for the first time since Dec. 11 with a trip to Tulsa on Jan. 4. Tip-off against the Golden Hurricane is set for 7 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center in Tulsa, Okla. The game will broadcast on the American Digital Network.

Memphis comes into the road game with a 7-7 overall record and 0-1 mark in the American Athletic Conference after dropping the conference opener to Temple on New Year's Day. The Tigers were at home for the last five games and in that span, Memphis was 4-1 with a key win over the vote-receiving Vanderbilt on Dec. 28.
After scoring 26 points and snagging 13 rebounds, both career-highs, in the win over Vanderbilt, Cheyenne Creighton was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll. Creighton has been tabbed to the Weekly Honor Roll three times this season. She leads the team with 15.4 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
Against Temple, Creighton hit the game-tying three-pointer as time expired to send the game into overtime. The Tigers ultimately fell to Temple, but not before Memphis overcame a 10-point deficit to send the second-straight game against the Owls into overtime.
Senior guard Taylor Williams scored a career-high 20 points against Temple on 7-for-15 shooting and 3-for-6 from beyond the arc. Williams ranks second on the team in scoring with 12.0 points per game.
Brea Elmore has also played well in the last six games, averaging 16.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.5 steals per game in that span. Elmore has set career-highs in rebounds (eight vs. Nicholls State), points (21 vs. Southern Illinois), and assists (six vs. Louisiana Tech) in that last six games.
